Competitive, co-ed, and student-run. We play in the National Field Hockey League’s A Division, practice four nights a week on the ISAT turf, and chase a spot at Nationals every fall.

Almost every year we qualify for the NFHL National Tournament at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex. Southern Regional champions in spring 2026.

Practice

Four nights on the turf

ISAT Turf, behind ECL, at the field hockey and track complex by ISAT and Rose Library. Ninety minutes to two hours a night of fitness, skill work, team drills and scrimmage.

New to JMU? Played in high school?

Come to tryouts.

We hold competitive tryouts at the start of the fall semester, and spring tryouts around late March. Dues are $250 a semester and cover tournament fees, travel, hotels, equipment and other team expenses.
